yeah scrap it. Try to remove the infected area and in decent water flow. It
might be a good idea to also remove it from the tank and scrape it in a bowl
of tank water. That way you wont just be spreading the bacteria or whatnot
around the tank and spread the infection. Sounds like either bacteria or
protozoan infection
