Title: MH bulbs, ballasts and reflectors
I agree full heartedly with this post except for corals id go with a 10k or 12k setup the spectrum is better for corals even though a lot of people will debate this as far as your asking for used bulbs i wouldnt go with used bulbs for the simple fact bulbs after a while will loose their spectrum and not supply the full spectrum that a new bulb would.

Go to your local electrical supply.  They should have Advance TAR 250 watt MH ballasts for around $70 or less each.  You'll need one for each bulb you want.  Also buy the mogel base sockets made of ceramic.  They are usually around $10/each.  The bulbs I would go with are the 65k 250 watt Iwasaki's for $60/each http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=PA&Category_Code=Hbulbs  I have had this same setup for over four years now with great results.  Not bad for about $140/per light .  Of course you'll need misc. wiring and some place to mount it all.  I have some 2x4's with some aluminum sheeting as a heat shield/reflector mounted above my tank.  FWIW

I am looking for some lighting equipment for my tank. Specifically a MH system of 250 watts.
If someone have parts or used bulbs, please let me know.
Thanks !!
