I have 5 blue-green chromis and they have worked
out fine. Minimal squabbling, and nice colors. The schooling action
adds a great touch. I also have a 55. Give them lots of hiding
places (with 70 lbs of rock that shouldn't be a problem). I think mine get
along so well because they were very small (about .75") when purchased, so
they've grown up together. They're now about 2 - 2.5" long.
Cardinals can be nice, too and I would definitely
second the nomination of the long-nosed hawkfish. They're definitely
interesting, but can be picky eaters sometimes, and you don't want to keep more
than one.
Just my two and a half cents worth.
