I 'd like to ask you something concerning the conversion of 2 100gal
tropical water tanks to marine and reef ones.
1) Is it possible to use the existing filter materials?
2) Do the tropical bacteria species (Nitrosomas, and Nitrobacter) differ
from the corresponding marine ones?
3) What can happen if I'd add salt in the tanks slowly, reaching the needed
salinity level after some days?
I already have 2 more reef tanks, which started the normal way, and work
perfectly, but I'd like to know if it is possible to "convert" tropical
water tanks to marine ones.
