Ive seen this condition many times when I was importing Tangs for sale. It comes from Poor water quality. Try making a few water changes, It also could be a bacterial infection if the spot is bloody looking.Then you would have to treat outside the reef in a hospital tank.Try the water changes. Hows your water quality? I bet you have high nitrare levels?
