Title: Looking for economy and good design for a tank upgrade.

Hi,

Well, this is a beginners post, so take your pop corns and enjoy.
I am planning a tank upgrade, but now I will get all the necesary first (Beginner mistake).

I already have a Red Sea berlin classic skimmer and a Mag 7 to power it.
2 hagen 802 powerheads and 2 hagen 301 powerheads. For lighting I am thinking between MH or VHO (Thanks for the info Shane).

I already have a 250 watts heater, like 25 kg of live sand, 20 kg of Live rock and 4 fishes.

This is the situation:
By the costs, I really need another water pump to return the water from my sump/refugium. I was thinking on build a CC skimmer and buy a air pump (Cheaper than other Mag 7), keep my red sea in the box and use the Mag 7 that already have to return from my sump.

I really prefer buy an Iwasaki bulb than a Mag 7 and complete my setup, whit that purchase I will cover almost all, lighting, tank, refugium, sump pump, heater, etc.

What do you think? any recommendation will be welcome.
BTW, I was looking the CC skimmer plans by Snailman, I think the skimmer is very similar as Dr. Ron. So, If you have a suggestion of a very small, and efficient skimmer, I really appreciate. I have a Kent venturi valve that I can use, but I think It need a big pump to run properly.

Suggestions?

TIA.
