A person says: Saya terkadang masih nonton espn, star world, cnn, aljazeera, bbc, discovery channel, cn, ng channel, trans, dan metro (tergantung acaranya apa dan waktu senggang kapan, total kira2 2-4 jam/minggu).
Koran juga banyak berita sampah, apalagi internet, dahsyat sampahnya. Throw 'em all? I reply and sori pake bahasa Java: You got it right: throw 'em all! -- especially news broadcasted by those big media companies. As Clay Shirky puts it: nowadays, *everybody is a journalist.* Psychologically, people only respond to what makes them interested. Some truths are not interesting. By letting everybody report their own news -- and yes, Ma'ams and Sirs, with their own personal biases -- we now can choose to only listen to *the interesting truths*. The problem yet to think about is whether the news we (choose to) listen to is ACTUALLY TRUE. Surely, defects, phobias, subjectivity, likes-and-dislikes, politics, nepotisms, lost-in-translations, lost-in-transmissions, etc are facts of human life. Yet, as compared to the news casted and radiated by *the conglomeration of medias*, people who never meet each other and, therefore, do not have ties to one another (or worse, ties to one or two political organizations) are, more often than not, unlikely to generate *institutional lies*. No more TVs and mediated news! Enough is enough.
