This session features strategies and practices of different types of libraries as they create exciting futures with positive impact in their communities, build knowledge sharing ecologies in their communities, and ensure a strong role for librarians in those communities. The two-hour session entitled Knowledge advocacy, invites papers to speak about: - the key principles of advocacy, - the human issues in knowledge advocacy, - codes of practice for advocacy groups, - checklists for advocacy groups and service providers, - advocacy models and tools, - other forms of support. Submissions: 1. Please send an abstract of approximately 500 words, in English or French, no later than 15 February 2009 to: Elisabeth Freyre, chair of the Programme Committee ([email protected]) 2.
