Every November, 10,000 of the computing world's leading scientist, engineers, vendors and research organizations convene for the SC Conference, the premier international meeting for high-performance computing, networking, data storage, analysis, etc. From November 15 to 21, 2008, Austin plays host to the Conference as SC08 marks the 20th anniversary of the conference series. The exhibit halls at the Austin Convention Centerhave been sold out and will display the offerings of more than 260 different exhibitors consisting of both industry (160) and research (100) organizations. Attendees will get to preview the newest hardware systems (from the desktop to petaflop systems), software tools, and innovative services and applications. The conference opens on Monday, November 17, 2008 with a spectacular Gala in the Exhibit halls featuring all 260 exhibitors whose booths will be staffed and demonstrating the latest in information technologies.
