Refreshers,

Want a chance to hang with the folks that make the deliciously web standards
compliant browser, Opera? Well…you can’t beat this opportunity. Here is
the info on the upcoming visit from Opera that is being hosted on the UT
Campus by College of Natural Sciences Association for Computing Machinery
(ACM) www.utacm.org

*What: *Web Standards Talk with Opera Software and Dr. William Cook
*When:* Thu Mar 12 6:30pm - 8pm
*Where:* JGB 2.216 http://www.utexas.edu/maps/main/buildings/jgb.html
*Description*: Opera's Chief Standards Officer, Charles McCathieNevile and
UTCS Professor William Cook will be giving a talk on the ins and outs of web
standards. The talk will be fairly open-ended and will include plenty of
room for Q&A, discussion, etc. Presented by ACM.

I happen to know that some of the smartest folks in the web standards world
will be on hand, including Molly Holzschlag (http://molly.com/books.php),
Henny Swan (accessibility expert and web standards evangelist), Chris Mills
http://dev.opera.com/author/974138, David Storey (
http://dev.opera.com/author/241852) and more.

All right here!

Don’t miss it!
Glenda
