There's also the Last.FM API (http://last.fm/api) if the MusicBrainz service doesn't quite offer you all the data you need. It may be worth some investigation because I know their web service takes ID3 (http:// www.id3.org/) data via the Last.FM application, though I couldn't find it documented on the API site anywhere. Their API does take a MusicBrainz ID as one of it's params.
