I have something that's somewhat beyond my ability. I'm in need of
assistance downgrading MySQL on a Media Temple Dedicated (dv) server.
Here is the full story.

A current client is hosted on DreamHost. There are three sites. One is
a WordPress site. The other two are a shared OS Commerce site. These
two OSC sites share a codebase and database. Each also have dedicated
IP addresses and their own SSL cert. Long story on that.

We started migrating the sites over to a dedicated MT server. I have
everything setup. But started seeing SQL errors. After some
investigation seems the joins used throughout the code are
incompatible with MySQL5. The problem is the OSC core was hacked up as
well as alot of custom template code used on the site. So upgrading
OSC or the queries is not really an option.

The down and dirty. The MT Server comes with PHP5 and MySQL5. Need to
downgrade MySQL to version 4.1 or whatever the current Dreamhost
system uses. I can provide the exact specs.

Again I would try this myself but worried about the inter-dependance
between the MySQL/PHP/Apache libraries. Since this is a client site
and not my own project would rather have someone who knows what they
are doing.

And this is a paying project.
