After having a successful meetup for during SXSW with infamous web developers Remy Sharp (www.jqueryfordesigners.com) and Jonathan Sharp (core jQuery UI Team Member) show up and share some insight in the world of JavaScript, this month we are having a local JavaScript guru, Kyle Simpson, speak about one of his latest projects that solves the issue of cross-domain scripting: flXHR.
http://flxhr.flensed.com/ flXHR is a JavaScript+ (Invisible) Flash solution for cross-domain Ajax. The difference with the flXHR project versus other similar ones is that flXHR implements an identical API to the native XHR object which means it can be dropped into any existing Ajax code and the surrounding code shouldn't need to really change at all. This is especially good for integrations with frameworks that do Ajax as you can "adapt" (trick) the framework into using a flXHR instance and get easy cross-domain Ajax calls, without the framework being any the wiser...
