Hey Alex,
As I mentioned in the last meeting, I can have a 15 minutes presentation about Ajax. Its basically a short version of w3school lesson about php/ajax (http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_ajax_intro.asp). It also has a few demos that I am going to use, very simple stuff. Here are the topics I cover, each would be about 1-2 minutes: Web; File server, browser, http, html Http; web protocol Html; markup language, content plus rendering instruction Server Side Scripts (php); web application rather than just web pages Browser Scripts (javascript); client has more control on UI XML; standard format to store and transfer data XMLHttpRequest; no page refresh is needed anymore Ajax; all the pieces come together Demos; search suggest, database query, RSS Reader Questions Thanks, Abbas --- On Wed, 7/8/09, Alex S.
