Alex Jones said at last nights meetup that we need to start promoting each others panels within the Refresh community. So I guess I'll be the leadoff hitter. First, what is your panel and what is the link to voting for it on the SXSW site? I want to be there for you.
The 2010 PanelPicker voting application launches on Monday, August 17 and will continue open through the end of the day on Friday, September 4. I have a panel called Devices for Real World Social networking. It's about using your iphone (or dedicated hardware device like mynameise.com or poken) to connect up with people in the real world. Lately, I seem to be on "foursquare" a lot and it leads to quite a few real world encounters. But it's not the real full fledged app like http://mynameise.com which lets you fist pump someone with your iphone or "e" device and do a miraculous, instantaneous mutual swap of your business cards and social networks with someone else. I'm working on an initiative with Chris Justice to get something of this sort rolled at as an intergral part or registration at SXSW 2010. In 5 days, on August 17, I'll post the link to vote for my panel and I'll look for everyone else's links to vote for their panels.
