There is absolutely NOTHING lacking in cforms. It does about 10x more
than ANYONE would ever use,
with all the accompanying complexity.
I want to make something MUCH simpler. The goals of this would be
1) Appealing out-of-the box appearance with current forms best
practices

2) Great input validation for users filling out the form
see http://www.alistapart.com/articles/inline-validation-in-web-forms/
3) CSS hooks that are easy to style
4) Appealing success page that is easy to customize
5) Admin should only have the basics :
a) preset list of fields (name, email, etc) and if they are
req'd
b) Who the form gets mailed to
c) easy-to-use (duh). but I mean it.
It's is essentially a MUCH nicer version of the built-in contact form
in WP. It will just have much better
visual appearance, user input validation, and a nice-built-in success
page. I would really like the validation
to have some nice jQueryness to enhance the user experience.
