Hey all, if you haven't heard yet, Developer Day is coming to Austin the last Saturday of January. It looks to be a great single day conference and given the feedback from other Developer Days around the nation and the list of speakers is great, especially given the substantial Refresh Austin representation. Early bird registration is only $50 (I don't know when it goes up to the full $75).
Some more info from the organizers: Developer Day is a series of technology-agnostic, community-building events that we've put on in Durham, DC, Boston, and Boulder so far. We focus on the local dev scene, as opposed to the regional or national landscape; that means that the bulk of speakers and keynotes are from people who live in the area, and we don't expect attendees to have to fly in or book a hotel room to come to the event. For Austin, we've got talks on JavaScript, Ruby, development processes, and more lined up so far, and it looks like a schedule that'll provide plenty of opportunities to learn cool things regardless of peoples' backgrounds. Early bird registration is only $50 for a full day of talks and food, after which it'll still be an affordable $75..
