Amongst the many factors that have propelled this sharp rise in attendance is the event's recent history of strong and diverse speakers. Indeed, recent panelists at SXSW Interactive have ranged from best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell to trend-setting game designer Will Wright. For his presentation at The Austin Forum on March 2, 2010, O'Keefe will talk about some of the most memorable panelists of the last five years at SXSW Interactive. He will outline some of the things the SXSW Interactive team has learned about digital technology, about event-planning, and about life from these speakers. O'Keefe will also provide an overview of what he expects to be some of the highlights of the 2010 event (which occurs March 12 through March 16, at the Austin Convention Center). Shawn Michael O'Keefe began his passionate journey into technology at The University of Texas at Austin, where he focused on convergent media in the innovative and unconventional Advanced Communications Technologies Laboratory (ACTLab). For over ten years, he has been at the forefront of emerging web technologies, most recently with social computing. When not working as a producer for the SXSW Interactive Festival or as a digital consultant, he likes to play music and race his bicycle around the block. *PLEASE RSVP TO:* Faith Singer-Villalobos Communications Coordinator Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) The University of Texas at Austin Email: [email protected] -- Our Web site: http://www.RefreshAustin.org/ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Refresh Austin" group.
