Two of IBM Austin's leaders, Brad McCredie and Tony Befi, will share
how IBM Austin is developing smarter systems for meaningful change and
will describe the company's view of how technology is addressing major
infrastructure issues. Brad McCredie, vice president and IBM fellow,
is responsible for the Power 7 server development process. Tony Befi
is vice president of power systems & storage program management.

IBM Austin has a diverse pool of talent and sets an example of
innovation and mentorship across the greater Austin community. The
Austin site also plays a leadership role in making the world better
through "smarter" applications with its patent strength, research
capabilities and hardware and software expertise. For example, the IBM
Austin site has led the larger company for seven consecutive years in
patents awarded. Austin is home to IBM's Power family of
microprocessors and its Unix server development.
