Hope to make it out to this one, the talks sound awesome!

Didn't see contact info for Matt, but if anyone on the list is
interested in the broader game mechanics behind "achievements," we did
a workshop on them a while back.

http://vi.to/nathan/GameMechanics.html are the notes for the exercise,
outlining the building blocks that go into game mechanics like
achievements, the exercise itself, plus the handouts and the full
bibliography.

http://vi.to/workshop/20100426/ has the results of the workshop
exercise itself, including all the ways each team applied game
mechanics to the same application scenario. Nicole and Ray's was
particularly well done.
