Full Version On occasion people get into long debates on Twitter, which, if we're being honest with ourselves, is not the ideal medium to discuss the intricacies of JavaScript frameworks or the absolute best possible doctype to use on a Web app that will sell ice to the Inuit. We have a fine tradition of ending those debates with a call for a beer summit, so we can gather to discuss the topic in person. Over beer. And the beer will usually guarantee that we quickly forget the starting point and shift to more varied topics. So, today, Kyle (@getify) and I managed to fill the Twitters with far too many tweets discussing the user experience of how browsers handle plugin compatibility after an upgrade. It became obvious that nothing would be resolved in 140 characters, so I called for a beer summit, so tomorrow night we'll gather at the Gingerman, where we will get no closer to resolving the issues, but will enjoy beer as we argue.
