I'm not seeing this behavior.   In Firefox 4, 5, and 7 (Aurora) on the Mac,
the value uses the .x and .y sytax as it always has for click coordinates.
 If you'd like to send me a code snippet off-list, I'd be happy to look into
a bit more for you.
