Refresh has always been other-meetup-friendly and I'm hoping that extends to this request.
I'm a member of Hacks/Hackers, a meetup of journalists and programmers and others who care about data, storytelling and their confluence. Our next meeting is Aug. 2nd at the Statesman with Ryan Robinson, the chief demographer at the City of Austin to talk about the U.S. Census. He's much more interesting than that sounds :-) Anyway, this is only tangentially about the meeting subject ... we are always looking for refreshment sponsors for our monthly meetups. At this one, we can't have alcohol, so we just needs snacky things that folks can converse over. I'm hoping to connect with someone who wants to promote their new foody business or a monetary sponsor who wants 3 minutes in front of 40 or so people to gracefully pitch whatever, hopefully on topic (shorter if not :-) Maybe I'm asking for too much.
