I could use some help getting the word out about Women in Google+<http://www.womenofgplus.com/>. I’m seeing articles all over the place talking about the gender ‘thing’ in G+, but everyone seems so focused on gender – and that’s the problem. I created the WoG+ site to feature brilliant people (that just so happen to be women) and build a resource and network, not to count how many of us vs. them there are. I want to build a place where we can find each other, encourage and inspire each other. Not just put people in pink or blue circles [image: ;)] So dear new Google+ friends, I don’t care if are female, male, or other (woo!) I’m asking that if you find value in the project and want to see it grow, please help get it some visibility and traction. How can we do that? - Contact journalists and let them know about the project (and if you are a journalist – be different & talk about the brilliant women in here, not just the statistic that there are more men!) - Write blog posts/articles on your own site that link back to * http://www.womenofgplus.com*. I welcome your opinion and constructive feedback. - Find any ‘high-profile’ folks in your network that may be interested in the idea and see if they would be willing to let their network know. If they are women, ask if they would like to be featured on WoG+. - Visit the WoG+ site and find interesting people to follow, comment on their articles, and submit one of your own (I’m a bit backlogged now but promise to get through them as quickly as I can).
