I'm running a sprint to work on documentation for open web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) on Mozilla Developer Network (https://developer.mozilla.org), August 12-13. This event runs continuously for 39 hours, to accommodate online participants in time zones around the world. However, nobody is expected to work that entire time :-)
For folks in Austin who are interested in taking part, I'm getting folks together on Friday and Saturday afternoons, at Fair Bean Coffee, 2210 S. 1st St. You can write a new article, or improve existing ones, such as by adding code examples. Or review articles that are tagged as needing technical review or editorial review. Also, there will be swag for doc contributors! Here's a blog post announcing this sprint: http://hacks.mozilla.org/2011/07/better-docs-by-who-you-doc-sprint-august-12-13/ Here's a blog post from last year, introducing the idea of doc sprints: http://hacks.mozilla.org/2010/10/mdn-documentation-sprint-for-web-standards/ Here are Plancast events for both days: http://plancast.com/p/6hd5/mdn-doc-sprint-austin-day-1 http://plancast.com/p/6hd5/mdn-doc-sprint-austin-day-2 Please come help! -- Our Web site: http://www.RefreshAustin.org/ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Refresh Austin" group.
