The Question: My basic question is this. Is there a way to transfer ownership of a purchased item from the AppStore. The Details: This past summer I upgraded to OS X Lion which was done via the AppStore. This week I ordered a new MacBook Pro which will come with Lion pre-installed. For my older MacBook Pro I want to clean the drive and resell it. I have the old Snow Leopard disc. But wanted to offer Lion as an option. Since the AppStore purchases are tied to my Apple ID it looks like my previous purchase will be orphaned. Thoughts?
