I participate in a technical lunch discussion focusing on developer issues (it's Agile Austin's Developer SIG, but the topics discussed are more dev-centric and much less about process methodologies). One topic that came up was the lack of quality of our human interfaces. We're often don't know how to hire experts, don't know how to grow them internally, and end up delegating all the decisions to developers.
I knew this group was out there, but haven't been to a meetup yet. This is my first post to the mailing list, which I just signed up for. I was curious if anyone on the list felt really passionately about the issue and would like to join us when we talk to it directly. The exact date hasn't been planned yet, but it normally meets in the Hyperformix office near the 360 bridge. Either replying to the list or to me directly is fine. I'm interested in your background and expertise, so feel free to introduce yourself a little. But mostly, I'd like to know what you'd love to tell all the developers out there, if only they'd ask.
