           Summary: Infinite loop evaluation
           Product: Regexp
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Major
          Priority: Other
         Component: Other

With the following code, the match() method enter in an infinite loop (I guess).

RE re = new RE("^[:alpha:]:[\\\\]([^/\\\\:.|?!*<>][\\\\]?([^/\\\\:|?!*<>]+
[\\\\]?)*)?$");
boolean match = re.match("C:\\jakarta-tomcat-3.2.4
\\webapps\\genericCGEY\\html\\\\worldview.jpe");

I use the last release of regexp (1.2).
I use the JDK 1.3.1.
