The draft defining an optional capability for using POSIX regular expressions
to express RDAP queries was updated in response to an item of feedback received
during the REGEXT meetings at IETF 98. There was a request to investigate using
hex encoding versus Base64urlencoding. Investigation showed that standard hex
encoding (percent encoding) in URLs would suffice, so the draft has been
updated to reflect this approach and the requirement for Baset64urlencoding was
eliminated.
