Thanks for clarifying (privately) that the namespace URI and schema would be registered in the IETF XML Registry[1]. Since the only entries in those registries are IETF registrations, I assumed it was RFC Required or Standards Action, but actually it's just Specification Required. Lesson learned! Registration of namespace URIs and schemas would be helpful to client implementers. Could a requirement tor register them be included in rfc7495bis?
