Speaking as a participant: At IETF124, the Chairs asked for the authors to make another request for working group adoption on the mailing list. This is that message.
I’ll also note that during IETF124 there was some discussion of a number of issues that the authors acknowledged will be open for discussion if the document is accepted by the working group. The two most notable by my recollection are as follows. 1. The specification currently reads more like business practices than technical practices. The authors agree and while we will certainly take a pass at improving this, we would also welcome specific suggestions from anyone in the working group for alternate text. 2. It was expressed that the term “related group” may not be the best. Two alternatives were proposed: “object group” or “same-entity group”. The authors agree that these choices will be further discussed in the working group and seek consensus on the best choice. The authors look forward to advancing this work in the REGEXT working group and hope that the working group will adopt it.
