This version fixes some broken references, adds an Acknowledgements section,
and updates the Introduction to address the comments the HTTP directorate
review.
My co-author and I have one outstanding question, for which we are seeking
feedback.
In Section 2, the draft says:
Redirect requests for searches, where more than one object is
returned, and help queries, as described by [RFC9083], are not
supported. Servers MUST return an HTTP 409 for these requests.
However, we are not sure if 409 is the correct HTTP status in this scenario,
since the description of this status in RFC 9110 ([1]) suggests it's only
applicable for POST/PUT/etc requests. We also looked at 422 ([2]) but that
seems to have the same issue.
If there isn't a more specific HTTP status that applies in this situation, we
will revert back to 400.
