Full Name:

Upspear - All-platform PSP Management tool
System Group Name:

License:

Description:
------------
Upspear is an application to fully manage the PSP (PlayStation Portable)
from a PC. It is useful in performing many common operations that now require
sveral different programs (most of which aren Windows-only, even). The idea
behind it is to make a single application which lets users do everything they
need, through a nice and easy-to-use graphical interface, made through GTK+
and Glade, which makes the application very portable. I personally build
Linux and Windows binaries, while another developer does MacOSX fixes and
builds.
A temporary webpage is at http://www.nogood.it/sukkopera/upspear/.
My code is all under the GPL, but I used some previously-available code
released under the Artistic licence 2.0, which I think is compatible with the
GPL (while 1.0 and 2.1 are not), although I couldn't find any precise info
about it. Anyway the author seems to agree with my use of his code. It's even
been used in many closed-source programs, so there shouldn't be any problems.
Also, I recently merged in some code from zlib, which should be fine,
according to http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/license-list.html.
Other Software Required:
------------------------
- GTK+ 2.x
- glib 2.x (needed by GTK+ anyway)
- libglade >= 2.5.0
All of these should be available on most Linux distributions, while for
Windows you can get a package from gladewin32.sourceforge.net. I don't know
exactly how it works under MacOSX as I'm not the mantainer of that version
myself.
