Description:
------------
Adun is a molecular simulation application written in ObjectiveC/C. Its
main aims are to be a platform for rapid development and integration of
molecular simulation routines and protocols and to provide advanced
simulation managment features. It consists of three seperate programs. A core
simulator, a graphical interface and a server that acts as a communication
conduit between the two. The Core is based on the Adun Framework which is a
library for creating molecular simulations (also a part of this project). The
core loads gnustep-bundles e.g. plugins that can assemble and mainpulate the
framework objects. The UI creates and manages the simulations to be run
aswell as providing an environment for analysing the results of the
simulations (again through a plugin mechansim). It also uses a database to
store created systems and simulations. In the future we plan to use e.g.
MySQL as a backend to enable people around the world to share simulation
data/results. The server exists to enable the running and managment of a
group of simulations across a local network and to separate the
managment/creation functionality from the simulation process.
See diana.imim.es/Adun/downloads/adunDownloads for the source code. The
website provides more information.
