Yes, a compiler is needed to compile it. I don't think Mono is good enough
yet, although I submitted information about the particular bugs to Mono, and
they haven't been fixed yet...
I don't know what to say about the name. That's what I've called this library
in all its incarnations over the past decade. I agree that it's generic. Do
you have any suggestions?
