Description:
------------
A while ago, the FCEUltra project removed it's webpage and files from their
website.
Liking FCEUltra's speed, but hating the user iterface, I've decided to begin
hacking on the FCEUltra codebase. I've already re-done the build system in
scons, and made some general software design improvements (re-done sound
system, re-done input system, etc).
Initially the project was titled Nextra, but I'm changing the name to
NEStation (Doh, this is taken... I guess I'll have to settle for NESEE, but
an e-mail sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] calls it NEStation, I'm worse than the
Mozilla foundation...) to avoid confusion with Nestra.
Plans for a 1.0:
Improve the current build system to allow for better debugging/profiling
builds
Improve the directory structure of the codebase
Clean up the code for the user interface
Everything related to the interface will have complete documentation
On top of the new video code, a consistant GUI written in SDL will be
available on all platforms that support SDL.
Other than this, the functionality for 1.0 will remain the same as FCEU
0.98.12
Other Software Required:
------------------------
OpenGL
SDL
SDL_ttf
zlib
alsa
