  MediaFS: Media File System

Description:
------------
MediaFS is a pure-python implementation of a multimedia filesystem.

The purpose of a mediafs is to be able to sort, categorize and access
collections of multimedia files in an application-dependant way.

With a system of plugins, one could rapidly develop a new filesystem
organization for any application and any multimedia file.

For example, if one uses Gallery, she could develop a plugin that would
automatically create the albums with their metadata, on demand and as soon as
the image files are put inside the mediafs.

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  python (http://www.python.org/)
fuse (http://fuse.sourceforge.net/)
python-fuse
(http://richard.jones.name/google-hacks/gmail-filesystem/gmail-filesystem.html)
pyxattr (http://pyxattr.sourceforge.net)

and others as needed by the future decoder plugins (exif, ogg, xml, ...)
