Description:
------------
The Ibuffer Emacs library written by Colin Walters and maintained by John
Paul Wallington is part of Emacs.

Presently the latest version comprising three files (ibuffer.el, ibuf-ext.el,
and ibuf-macs.el) lives within the Emacs project on Savannah -- see:
http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/emacs/emacs/lisp/

In addition there is a partially forked version missing a few features
(maintained by John Paul Wallington too) in the XEmacs packages repository --
see:
http://cvs.xemacs.org/viewcvs.cgi/XEmacs/packages/xemacs-packages/ibuffer/

Finally, there is an old, simpler version of Ibuffer that is the most portable
version across older Emacsen -- see:
http://www.shootybangbang.com/software/ibuffer.el

I intend to make gna.org the locus of development for a single portable
Ibuffer based upon the latest version from Savannah, and to have the versions
in the Emacs and XEmacs repositories basically follow it in order to minimize
divergences.

Other Software Required:
------------------------
Presently the latest Ibuffer sources in Savannah depend upon features of the
development version of Emacs. The intention is for Ibuffer to with older
versions of either of Emacs or XEmacs.
