Civilis is a project to build an open source turn-based strategy game like
Freeciv or C-Evo. The project will stress on historical accuracy. With a time
scope of several thousand years, the player will have to develop his
civilization dealing with exploration, expansion, economy, warfare,
diplomacy, science and culture. 

Civilis will be writen in Python, using the Pygame library and released under
the GPL.

There is no source code yet, but a functional specification document will be
available soon.

Civilis est un projet de création d'un jeu de stratégie et de simulation
historique open source dans l'esprit de Freeciv ou C-Evo. Le projet mettra
l'accent sur le réalisme historique. Le joueur devra étendre sa
civilisation par la colonisation ou la conquête et assurer son
développement économique, social culturel et scientifique, sur une période
de plusieurs milliers d'années.

Civilis sera écrit en Python et utilisera la bibiothèque Pygame.

Un document de spécifications détaillées sera disponible prochainement.
