==== Description: ====
MU-Conference is a component for Jabber servers (http://www.jabber.org). It
provides functionnality for multi-users chat, as describe in XEP-0045 :
http://www.xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0045.html (it's almost the same as IRC
chatroom, but for Jabber).

It supports almost every feature of the XEP (the XEP are the Jabber
equivalent to RFC) including advanced features like built-in logging.
Everything is coded in C, it depends on libidn, expat and GLib.
The project is licensed under the Gnu GPL v2.

The project was originaly hosted on jabberstudio :
http://mu-conference.jabberstudio.org, but there going to close really
shortly. A copy of the source code is available via an external svn
repository : http://gpl.insa-lyon.fr/svn/omega/mu-conference
and accessible with WebSVN :
http://gpl.insa-lyon.fr/websvn/listing.php?repname=omega&path=%2Fmu-conference%2F&rev=0&sc=0

The project is quite old and is fairly stable. It is used by some big server
like amessage.de and im.apinc.org

==== Other Software Required: ====
* libIDN : http://www.gnu.org/software/libidn/
* expat : http://expat.sourceforge.net/
* GLib : http://www.gtk.org/
