==== Description: ====
pyPentago is an open source effort to clone the award winning board game
Pentago using Python. It consist of a server and a client, the server will be
hosted by us so there is a central place where players can play. The client
will be run by the player and will automatically connect to our server unless
the player tells it not to, this way we ensure that everyone gets to play the
game without entering any IP or hostname.
We will be preparing and alpha release soon, so that we can spot bugs that
may exist in the server or client early on.
We aim to provide a ranking system, most likely using the Glicko-2 method, so
that the players get a score representing their skill in the game Pentago.
Also do we want to include a personal profile page for every player, where he
can write a description about himself and maybe even get awards for winning a
certain amount of games or reaching a certain score.
Another goal is cross platform compatibility, so it should at least be
playable using Linux, BSD, Windows and MacOS.
The current code can be found at
http://pypentago.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/pypentago/pypentago/.
It is hosted at Sourceforge, but as we are unsatisfied with it, we would like
to migrate it to your site.
We really hope you approve our request as we think that development would be
easier at your site.
Sincerely,
Florian Mayer, maintainer of pyPentago
==== Other Software Required: ====

licensed under the terms of the GPLv3.
