The aim of the project is a modernized version of gnutv (from the packet
dvb-apps) which allows directly video/audio decoding of MPEG-TS streams and to
be fully controlled by some IR receiver. In short, a lightweight media
soltution that consumes minimal resources.
There is a special back-end (OpenMAX) to allow to use the program to run on
embedded or single-board computers (Raspberry, Beagle, Panda, ...).
There is no source code yet. However, we plan to release a first snapshot
soon. Since the project is a derived work of gnutv, the license is also the
GNU General Public License.
