FreeS88 is an opensource implementation of an S88 bus decoder. For model
railways, the S88 bus is used to feedback sensor states from the layout to a
digital central (in our case a PC with USB port which runs a software
implemented central such as Rocrail)
Initially, the code makes an Arduino board a S88 bus decoder which emulates
the HSI protocol. Later extensions to other boards are welcome. Initially, the
code emulates a HSI88 Interface, and has been run successfully with Rocrail.
