I have the same symptoms with my LG GSA-E40L. inserting a DVD-RW or CD-RW, the icon disapears from nautilus and i cannot acces it anymore. if i do mount /dev/cdrom then the cd rom turns but nothing happens. i get this error: desktop:~$ mount /dev/cdrom mount: can't find /dev/cdrom in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab
