When I tested the init scripts, I noticed, that 3 could be started over
and over again. These were winbind, cups and postfix. Maybe I messed up
the configuration file of postfix (main.cf) while trying to configure it
to a standard configuration (mail system on localhost). I was confused
by the fact, that postfix wouldn´t be listed in top. (read the manpage
today ;-) )
However purging and reinstalling these 3 packages fixed the problem.
Would be nice, if you could add an inquiry to the init scripts (cups and
postfix; winbind is not configured, so it has reason to not start) to check if
the daemons are already running and display a fail instead of a success message.
Thank you for your answer. I´ll close the bug now.
