Looks like this has gotten worse in Lucid. There is now a fat button to click in gnome-session-properties to store the session (see attached screenshot), but no way to get rid of that stored session. It spawns every time you log in (i tried it two times, then the rm -R workaround) even when "Automatically remember ..." is NOT checked.
