Oh, just to finish my though, I'm on WPA2 personal, with a NetGear router running at 11 / 54 Mbs (b or g). Network Manager seems fine. I never had any problems in the past with the wired LAN, and the Intel 5100 card is brand new, albeit offering a pretty puny signal strength compared to the netbook I have across the desk from it.
