I'd just like to add that I'm also seeing this issue. When I run
powertop it reports this:
An audio device is active 100.0% of the time:
hwC0D1 Conexant ID 2bfa
As I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 (not Kubuntu) I don't think it is knotify or
kmix related as I don't have those processes running. Let me know if
you would like any further log information added.
