Ok, I tested the new kernel with my X1600 Pro HDMI (1002:71c2 / 1002:71e2), but it is still slow. I'm not sure, but I have the feeling, that it's faster than the older kernel, but I can be mistaken. Currently I'm using "options radeon modeset=0" to run a usable system...
