Ubuntu 8 printed ok using hp laser jet 1320. ubuntu 10.04 printed ok for a
while but stopped. I ran ubuntu 8 it prints, I reboot Ubuntu 10.04 will not
print. I would pay for telephone support, please advise.
10.04 hangs up now and then...nothing works...have to power down with hardware
switch and reboot.
Although I have over 50 years of programming experience and code in
assembler,c, c++, Java etc., it took some 6 hours of trial and error to get
registered as a user. If I find this effort excessive, how do the real newbies
ever get through to you?
I bet thousands just give up! And I am running 5 windows xp machines, one Mac
book pro, 3 windows 2000 systems, and other assorted junk. I love ubuntu--its
philosophy, its elegance, its very intuitive design--it is really beautiful!
